On September 6, on the coast of Cua Lo, Lan Chau island area (Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town) a series of clams appeared drifting ashore. The cause was determined to be due to large ocean waves, causing clams to drift in.

Upon hearing the news, hundreds of people living in the area brought necessary items such as bags, envelopes, and buckets to pick up sea clams.

A resident said: The clams that were washed ashore by the waves were mainly paper clams with purple shells. This type of sea clam costs about 80 thousand VND/1kg.
