Pa Khoang Lake is located in two communes Muong Phang and Pa Khoang (Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province).
Pa Khoang is a reservoir with a design capacity of 41 million m3, the largest water reservoir in Dien Bien province. The entire lake is located in the Muong Phang special-use forest with dozens of large and small islands scattered in the middle of the lake.
