Phu Ly 1 Pagoda is located in Dong Thanh commune, Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province. Starting from the center of Binh Minh town, visitors follow Highway 54 towards Tra On district for about 10 minutes to see the welcome gate of Phu Ly hamlet. Entering the gate for another 2km to go to Phu Ly 1 pagoda on the left. Although located deep in Phu Ly hamlet, Phu Ly 1 Pagoda is a spiritual place that attracts a large number of Buddhists and Western tourists to visit and worship. Phu Ly Pagoda 1 one of the temples built according to the architectural features of India, Thailand and Cambodia are sophisticated, meticulous, ancient associated with the culture of the Khmer Southern people. The pagoda includes items: pagoda gates, main halls, sala, pearls, tower, flagpole complex, Buddha statues, Buddha scenes, cremation, ... around the temple are star trees, oil, jaggery of the hundred -year -old jaggery shade all year round and create a serious and ancient space. At Phu Ly 1 Pagoda, the most prominent and important is the main hall. The main hall symbolizes the Mexican Mountain- a sacred mountain and where the gods come to religious the doctrine of Brahmin, surrounded by the main halls are the core towers with a lower height than the main hall, symbolizing the small mountains surrounding the sacred mountain of Meiru. The main hall of Phu Ly 1 pagoda was built on a high background, covered with bright yellow in the morning sun. On the roof of the main hall is a tower. Around the tower of artisans decorated, embossed with many dragon images raising their heads towards the two sides. The dragon body is decorated like the vast racing boats. The curved dragon's tail rises to the blue sky. Under the roof of the roof of the main hall, there are many images of the goddess Ki No with a lovely face, gentle magnetic, with wide wings, two legs standing upright, puffing up the chest forward, arms raised to support the roof, making the connection point between the columns with the roof of the main hall, creating flexibility and lightness in the architectural art of the Khmer people. Visiting Phu Ly 1 Pagoda, Buddhists and tourists also noticed that the image of the god Krut was also created as the goddess Ki. But this is the image of a body, bird's head, the main decoration at the top of column 4 corners of the main hall, supporting the roof of the main hall. In addition, there are hundreds of Krut bird images decorated on the walls along the main hall. Around the main hall is the row of the four-sided image of the Golden God (Kabil Maha Brum), the four-sided 4-sided 4-way-south-north-north-south direction, thereby conveying another meaning to represent Tu, Bi, Hy, and discharge in Buddhism. In the main hall, we will see the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in a lotus location in the sermon posture, worshiping themselves in the center of the main hall. The frescoes are decorated on the ceiling, on the door, columns, porch ... with many dragon motifs, snakes, flowers, leaves, birds tell the legend of Shakyamuni Buddha from birth, growing up until Nirvana into Buddha. The highlight of the architectural art of Phu Ly 1 Pagoda is also reflected in the flagpole system. Called the population, because the flagpole was built in the middle of the temple campus on the large yard, surrounded by many lions, goddesses, dragon, Naga gods with the dominant yellow color.
